The new Camaro is a gorgeous car, and this one came equipped with the premium Boston Acoustics factory system so it sounded pretty good just needed some low end reinforcement! The owner already had all his equipment from his old car but the box didn't fit so he went all out with trim panels and an amp rack to boot!!! Three MTX Audio 5510's are sealed individually in separate boxes in order to fit in the trunk opening. The three boxes were arranged in the trunk with the outer two angled in and a trim panel was fabricated to join all three enclosures together and give a molded look. The trim panel was covered in charcoal Carbon-Fiber Vinyl for a little bit of auto fashion.

The subs are powered by a MTX Audio TA7801 which puts out 1200 Watts @ 1ohm. The amplifier is wired with 1/0 gauge Kicker wire and is supported by a hidden Stinger capacitor. Signal was obtained from the factory amplifier via a line output convertor. The battery is in the trunk which made wiring simple and power on demand an attainable feature. A trim panel covered in trunk-liner finishes out the trunk above the subwoofers and allows the bass to go around the box without hurting any output.
